About the firm

Technology and knowledge, applied to hard claims.

Established in 1985 by Mr. Pranav Kumar and incorporated as a private limited company in 2014, NISLA is licensed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India under corporate licence IRDA/CORP/SLA-200025 to carry out survey and loss assessment in Fire, Engineering, Loss of Profit, Miscellaneous, Marine Cargo and Marine Hull. The firm is empanelled with almost all major insurers across India, with its head office in Mumbai, an office in Bangalore and a pan-India field network.

Large and complex claims are where the firm does its best work — and where technology and knowledge compound. Claims run end-to-end on NISLA's secure digital claims platform: structured workflows from intimation to final survey report, digital site evidence, document intelligence over policies, books and invoices, and tracked timelines that keep every claim inside the regulator's clock. Behind the platform sits a team of engineers, chartered accountants, MBAs, lawyers and specialists — including fellow members of IIISLA — applying data-driven analysis to quantify each loss exactly.

How we work

A disciplined path from intimation to report.

  1. 01

    Intimation & appointment

The loss is intimated, the appointment is confirmed and a serial reference is issued — the claim enters a tracked digital workflow from day one.

  2. 02

    Survey & evidence

Site inspection, photographs and physical verification, with a documented record of requirements issued to the insured.

  3. 03

    Documents & assessment

Policy, books and claim documents are examined; the loss is quantified line by line, with policy terms applied exactly.

  4. 04

    Survey report

A reasoned final survey report, authored and signed by the licensed surveyor, submitted within the timelines set by the IRDAI regulations.
